Oh Hannah, such a pleasure to read your beautiful writing once again, and a wonderful way to connect to you as you embody the other home in your life <3
I can sense your raw feelings and vulnerability as each word spills off the page. I am glad for the friends who have been there for you in your grief and your joy, and also to learn about this special person! There is an Arabic phrase which roughly translates to "Wish hardship comes ease, and with hardship comes ease" meaning that when you experience hardship, periods of joy will be felt twice fold, and what comes to mind when I read this :)
you always know what to say, i miss you dearly!!!! i'm seriously so lucky to have people like you in my life who listen to what i say, what i have to say. thank you, always.
“don’t always think I am, but his belief in me makes me want to build a life that will only lead me to be all those things like they are mine to have.” oh, Hannah. your vulnerability is beautiful, i haven’t read a substack essay in ages and i’m so glad i got to sit with your words.
your comments always surround me with so much warmth in such a vast platform like substack, thank you so much for reading it, you make me want to keep writing on here <3
This resonated with me. Being on the other side of the world from the person(s) you love is a specific, cutting type of pain...
truly, i'm glad i'm not alone :(
oh hannah. sending you much of my love. standing in the kitchen with you. probably giving you a hug.
thank you ifrah, you're always so kind to me <3
I want to eat this for dinner 🥲🥲🥲🖤
awh, what a compliment! <3 thank you so much for reading it :)))
